We're excited to be featuring Sandy from the YouTube channel Holy shiFt as our rider of the month.  

He's been using his camera for the last five years to document his life on YouTube. As an airline pilot, he was laid off during Covid and had extra time off so he decided to put his energy into growing his YouTube channel and started focusing on his hobby as a motorcycle rider.

He's been riding since he was 18 with a 20 year break while his kids were growing up. Last 3 years he's started focusing his channel on Harley Davidson motorcycles content after buying his first Harley (a 2020 Electra glide standard). He was doing videos of upgrades, rides, reviews, and Harley culture in general. Last year Sandy bought the brand new Harley model named low rider ST and he's been the first one to get it in the state of New Jersey. Sandy has been upgrading it ever since and still in progress. 

Sandy, what motorcycle are you riding?
I currently own and ride a 2022 Low rider ST. Colored Gunship gray named “Gray ghost”. I also own a 2022 Royal Enfield 350 Classic signals in Marsh Gray - named “ Stryker” .

How did you get into riding it?
I’ve been riding motorcycles since I was 18 . Stopped while my kids were growing up and got back in the saddle 6 years ago.

You're an expert about Harley Davidson Motorcycles. What trends do you anticipate in the next year or so?
Haha please… no expert.. just got on my first Harley 4 years ago, but I believe there is a strong growing trend of performance baggers.

How are you protecting yourself when riding?
I personally prefer to ride with a full face helmet although at times I do use Half helmets. Always wear riding boots, jeans with an under-layer of Kevlar, and a leather jacket or protective shirt/Jacket that has Kevlar underneath.

Are you part of a local rider community?
I ride with my friends who live locally. I’m not part of a MC. 

What would you tell a new rider ahead of his first ride?
Always think 1 step ahead and always look around for who is trying to kill you!

What's your preferred area for riding and why?
Love our local area within 100 Mile radius. We’ve got great scenery with elevation changes and twisty roads.

What's your favorite day of the week for riding?
Weekends…. Less traffic on the roads, less stressful drivers.

How have you first heard about Beyond Riders?
I was approached by one of your people who introduced me to your gear. I must say I was highly impressed!

What do you like most about our products?
Your designers' attention to details, the high quality of manufacturing and great customer service. I would add - the best bang for my Buck !

What products or features would you like us to offer next?
I think Kevlar Gloves would be a good option, some swag like hats and T-shirts.
