Care and Washing Instructions for Beyond Riders Shirts, Jackets and Pants

Proper maintenance of your motorcycle gear is essential to ensure its longevity, performance, and comfort. Regular cleaning and care help preserve the fabric’s integrity while keeping your gear looking and feeling great. Below, you’ll find detailed instructions on how to clean and maintain your shirts, jackets, hoodies, riding jeans, and cargo pants. Briefly familiarize yourself with the most important steps in caring for your protective gear.

Caring for Your Textile Gear

For proper maintenance of your textile gear, always check the care label inside each item.

  • Machine wash cold at 60°F (15°C).
  • Avoid using bleach.
  • Do not dry clean.
  • Use a low-temperature iron if needed.
  • Line dry only.

Important Note: Before applying any specialized cleaning products, test them on a less visible area to check for potential reactions. We do not recommend using products with bleach or harsh chemicals. These instructions are specifically for non-waxed cotton motorcycle garments.

Removing Protective Pads

  • Detach all pads from the shoulders, elbows, chest, and back by opening the Velcro compartments and carefully sliding them out.

Cleaning Process

  • Use a soft brush or lint-free cloth to gently scrub particularly dirty areas.
  • Ideally, hand wash the garment using a mild or diluted detergent (without bleach) in lukewarm water
  • Hang the garment to dry in a warm, shaded area—never use a tumble dryer.
  • Once completely dry, reinsert the armor pieces into their respective compartments.

Liner Cleaning

  • Spot clean liners using a soft sponge or lint-free cloth with neutral soap.
  • Avoid soaking the fabric. Let it air dry in a well-ventilated space, away from direct heat sources such as sunlight or radiators. Hanging the garment on an airer or hanger is ideal.

Caring for Your Riding Jeans or Cargo Pants

Always refer to the care label inside your jeans for specific washing instructions.

  • Machine wash cold at 60°F (15°C).
  • Do not use bleach.
  • Avoid dry cleaning.
  • Use a low iron if necessary.
  • Line dry only.

Important Note: Before applying any specialized cleaners, always test on a hidden part of the jeans first. Avoid cleaning products containing bleach or harsh chemicals.

Pre-Washing Preparation

  • Remove all protective pads from the hips and/or knees.
  • Turn the jeans inside out and fasten any zippers or buttons before washing.

Washing Instructions

  • Use a mild or diluted detergent (without bleach) and wash on a gentle cycle, separate from other clothing.
  • Do not add fabric softener.

Drying Instructions

  • Hang the jeans to dry in a warm, ventilated space, keeping them away from direct sunlight. Never use a tumble dryer.
  • Once fully dry, place the protective pads back into their designated pockets.

Following these care instructions will help prolong the life of your Beyond Riders gear and keep it in top condition. Proper cleaning ensures your gear remains comfortable, safe, and durable, ride after ride.
